Story

Introducing Koala, a dog who earns her name from her distinctive look that resembles a koala bear (or actually a panda!) with her short ears and tail!

She used to live in a deserted village along with a pack of dogs, fed by our volunteers. Someone complained about their presence, so she ended up in the dog pound. When we finally found her, we took her out of there and she is now in our enclosure with our other adoptable dogs. She is incredibly gentle, cuddly and joyful. But Koala is bored. She’s around 3 years old, and dreams of just one thing: a home of her very own. At night she digs, finds holes in the fence and escapes…  We’re scared that one day she won’t come back.

Koala has been waiting for 2 years. She’s a Greek shepherd mix. She’s sterilized and vaccinated, ready for a home that can offer her the love and security she deserves.

If you’re moved by Koala’s story and can consider adding a ‘big koala’ to your family, please reach out to us.

Character

Koala stands out not just for her looks but for her personality too. She’s incredibly friendly and affectionate with people, as you can see from the photos. She gets along with other dogs. Not tested with cats.
