Tisha is a resilient 7-year-old Labrador Retriever and possibly Cocker Spaniel mix, rescued from Kharkiv in Ukraine. After his family fled during the war, leaving him behind, Tisha was found chained near a collapsed shed in a village, severely underweight, with no water and a matted coat (he had to be shaved). Thanks to the wonderful volunteer Olena, he was rescued from these terrible conditions and is now thriving! Swipe through the photos to see his transformation!
Today, Tisha is 16-17 kg, vaccinated, neutered, and in excellent health, and his fur is quickly growing back.
Tisha thrives outdoors, enjoying long walks, car rides, swimming, and playing with sticks. He has a low, deep bark typical of labradors and loves catching treats and veggies, especially plums, cucumbers and raw potatoes!
It’s been challenging to find homes for pets like Tisha who lost their families in Ukraine, so if you’re looking for a loyal, well-behaved dog with a heart full of love, Tisha is ready for his forever home!
Tisha is incredibly human-oriented, with a cheerful, loving personality. He is friendly with other dogs, neutral with cats, and very kind to strangers and children. His sweet nature and adventurous spirit would make him the perfect companion for an active, loving home.
