Μαvroula (which means Blackie in Greek) was dumped as a puppy near a cemetery. A girl who helps our volunteers found her and took care of her. At the time, she tested positive to heartworm but she received treatment for that and is now perfectly healthy!
Later on, as Mavroula grew up, the volunteers built a little dog house for her on the street but other dogs used to bite her and eat her food. Each time the volunteers came back, they found her badly bitten so they decided to take her out of there. She now lives on someone’s land with other dogs where she is safe but Mavroula is longing for her own home! She is a medium size dog and around 4 years old now.
Mavroula is very friendly towards people and friendly with other dogs but she is very possessive with her food due to the dog attacks, so we would prefer a home where she is the only dog!
